The best season of the year is here, autumn! And the one place that should definitely be on your bucket list to visit during the fall season is Boston! The breezy and happy weather out there will do away with all the summer madness and prepare you for the cold winters. As the largest city in New England, Boston is compact, clean and easily navigable. With the population being far less than New York or Los Angeles, this is a pretty city with great weather, super-smart people and a lot more things that will tempt you to pack your bags and head to Boston immediately! Knowing that more and more people want to visit Boston every year, Emirates Airline has switched from its Boeing 777-200LR currently operating the route to a larger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, adding passenger and cargo capacity. Basically you, your family and those distant relatives you suddenly want to reconnect with, can all have a happy vacation! Why Boston, you might ask… why not, I will say!

Here are 5 places/events you should definitely do when you visit Boston!

1) Check out the Freedom Trail

The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile stretch which hosts 16 sites that played a huge role in the American Revolution. You can take a guide, download your own map or wander around aimlessly (I knew you’d choose the last option) but you will enjoy yourself either way. So much history, so many stories, so much to learn!

2) Appreciate talent at the Institute of Contemporary Art

Howard Roark, Ayn Rand’s genius protagonist from The Fountainhead would be proud of this museum which is all glass and sharp angles! Seriously, the architecture of this institute is a marvel itself, along with the art pieces of course. There is also the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Science and Boston Symphony Orchestra in this wonderful city. Classy!

3) Eat and shop at Faneuil Hall Marketplace

4) Chill at Charles River

Got kids? Make sure you take them to the Boston side of the Charles river where you can find playgrounds, marshes, lemonade parlours and places to rent sailboats in abundance!

5) Watch the Boston Red Sox game

How can you NOT watch the Red Sox game while visiting Boston? If the tickets for the game are sold out or if the team is on the road, you can still get a tour of the stadium and check out the nearby bars: The Bleacher Bar (built under the stadium stands) and Cask’n Flagon which according to the owners is the “second best baseball bar in America.” Impressive!
