Two films, which have been delayed by a year each, will be arriving in Bollywood this week. These are Sonali Cable and Mumbai 125 KM. Both are different in terms of genre – while the former is a feel-good slice of life affair, the latter is a horror outing.
Unfortunately, none of these films has managed to create much of a buzz, despite the fact that the former is backed by Rohan Sippy and has some notable names attached to it. On the other hand, Mumbai 125 KM is a film that Veena Malik had done a long time ago, but even she isn’t around to promote it. In fact, she has already started a family in the interim period.
If the fate of the new releases over the week gone by is any indication, neither of the two new films is expected to take much of an opening, though Sonali Cable may find some footfalls in multiplexes, and Mumbai 125 KM could bring in some audience in the single screens of the interiors.
Still, overall it has been a depressing time period in Bollywood and the only cheers are expected once Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan arrive with their Happy New Year.
