If you thought director Sanjay Leela Bhansali dialled Shraddha Kapoor‘s number to offer her a role in his next, then you’ve got it all wrong (we won’t be surprised if that happens, though). The filmmaker, who’s currently busy working on his upcoming magnum opus, Bajirao Mastani, called the young actress to shower words of praise on her.
Apparently, Bhansali recently managed to take some time out of his erratic schedule and watched Vishal Bhardwaj‘s latest offering, Haider. While he was moved by the the dark film and everyone’s performance in it, he was particularly impressed by Shraddha’s work in the movie. That’s exactly why he decided to pick up the phone and compliment her for delivering a touching performance. What’s more, Bhansali even told her that she reminded him of veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure, who happens to be her aunt.
Naturally, Shraddha was on cloud nine after hearing from the ace filmmaker and hasn’t stopped beaming ever since. After making a not-so-successful debut with Teen Patti and being a part of another box-office dud (Luv Ka The End), Shraddha found her claim to fame in Aashiqui 2. But with her recent release, Haider, the pretty lass has proved her mettle as a performer and garnered appreciation from all quarters. The actress will soon be seen in a special appearance in Ungli featuring Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda and Kangana Ranaut. And currently, she’s working on her next release, Remo D’Souza‘s ABCD 2, where she’d be seen opposite Varun Dhawan. If reports are to go by, Shraddha will also be sharing screen space with Tiger Shroff in two back-to-back flicks after that.
