It has been several months since an official announcement was made about Bombay Samurai featuring Kareena Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Akshaye Khanna, Abhay Deol, Diana Penty and Kalki Koechelin. The piece of news had created a lot of buzz due to the film’s star-studded cast and the unusual title that promised a distinct plot.
Though there were rumours that producers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, would eventually bring this Dev Benegal film on floors, it seems pretty unlikely now, going by the recent developments.
Kareena, who was last seen in Singham Returns, confirms:
“I am not doing Bombay Samurai for sure. Guess we all didn’t agree at the script level. I don’t even think that right now there are any plans to revive the film.”
So it’s evident that she doesn’t mind the fact that a much hyped film like this has come to a standstill.
“This happens. It is fine and one has to move on and read another scripts. I have read more than 25-30 scripts but now, I need a breather.”
Bebo is currently gearing up to to begin shooting for director Kabir Khan‘s Bajrani Bhaijaan with Salman Khan.
