At Team MissMalini, apparently, I’m the “serial brunch-er”. And I’m not going to deny it – I love brunch and lately, almost every Sunday has been booked for that in-between meal we can all devour with a glass of bubbly, minus those judgemental raised eyebrows. Admit it, you spend about half your Sunday morning figuring out what to wear to brunch – and you love it! Hunting for that perfect look to complement that late meal of Eggs Benedict and a side of bacon has never been more satisfying.
It’s the middle of the afternoon, not a dark dingy pub where what you wear doesn’t matter because you’re going to spill something on your outfit anyway. In that bright sunshine over a glass of bubbly, looking at what everyone’s wearing and just taking it all in, is part of the appeal.
It’s no wonder everyone takes photos of their brunch! Everything is so damn good looking. From the breakfast buns and bacon to cream filled scones and macaroons – it’s like the food dressed up too.
People from the fashion industry, designers, models, stylists, writers, everyone loves to brunch. If you’re ever looking for that fashion break to start off your career, everyone you need to meet and know is at brunch on a Sunday – just make sure you pick the right spot.
P.S. It’s tried and tested and it’s how I landed my first major internship at a fashion magazine.
Have you grown up watching Gossip Girl, Sex & The City and all those other TV shows and movies that are so stylish, you just can’t handle it? You’ve always wanted to know what Serena van der Woodsen‘s life was like or wanted to feel like Carrie Bradshaw – There’s one thing they all have in common, they all went to Sunday brunch.
Stay tuned, I’m going to be writing about all the hottest brunch spots in the city next and you know what that means right? – More brunch for me!
