There’s a reason why ad filmmaker Ram Subramanian‘s latest short film, Pause, has gone viral just a few days after it was uploaded online. It’s about an Indian guy sending out a message to Iqbal bhai in Pakistan. And it correctly encapsulates the things that most of us feel about our counterparts in Pakistan. It is gut-wrenching when it begins and then it translates into something that’s surprisingly peaceful.
I have drooled over Fawad Khan ever since I first saw him. I recently met Ali Zafar for a freewheeling conversation and I enjoyed interacting with him as much as I enjoy chatting with other Bollywood celebs. I have a rakhi brother in Pakistan. We became friends through social media and bonded instantly. In fact, he often takes love tips from me while wooing his crushes!
Anyway, the reason why I am sharing this is because in all these instances, the nationality of these guys from Pakistan, never ever crossed my mind. And that’s because our neighbours are no different from us. They are just like us. And this video is exactly about that.
Will Iqbal bhai write back?
Ram’s previous short films, Mute and Unmute were also widely appreciated across the country. #DearNeighbour, feel free to share and spread this heartfelt message.
