There was a time a couple of years ago when five of his films had flopped back to back. With nothing quite working for him, be it an action, drama, thriller or a historical, it had seemed that the son of this legendary actor would be disheartened for long. However, he fought back, and how. With some career decisions that may have sounded suspicious on paper, he went on and executed them with right earnest. The result? He has scored a hat-trick of 100 crore super-successes now. But guess what, he is not even making any noise about it!

We are talking about Abhishek Bachchan, who played the title role in Bol Bachchan (along with Ajay Devgn), was in a supporting role for Dhoom 3 (with Aamir Khan) and bounced back with a parallel lead in Happy New Year (along with Shah Rukh Khan). With the combined business of the three films crossing the 550 crore mark just in India, Abhishek is on cloud nine.

Meanwhile, with good success coming his way, Abhishek is adopting a perfect balance in his professional life by also keeping himself engaged in the world of sports. A source close to Abhishek said:

He has put the rural game of Kabaddi back on the Indian map. His team, the Jaipur Pink Panthers, won the Pro-Kabaddi League’s first championship. If that isn’t all, he has also announced his Chennai team at the Indian Super League, Chennaiyin , as they gear up to fight it out on the football field. He is mixing business with pleasure, passion and perfection, and he is loving it.

Further icing on the cake has come in the form of being awarded Entertainer of the Year at the HELLO Hall of Fame Awards which celebrated his accomplishments this year. A seasoned filmmaker says:

He needs to keep the momentum on now. His All Is Well arrives next year and promises to be a polished film, considering Umesh Shukla (of OMG – Oh My God fame) is calling the shots. He also has some major plans for his production house. He is doing well in balancing multi-starrers as well as solo leads, and the strategy is just right. With Aishwarya too returning with Jazbaa and Big B gearing up for Shamitabh and Piku, 2015 could well be another Happy New Year for the Bachchans.

Aren’t we looking forward to that already?
