Solange Knowles got hitched over the weekend. She married long-time beau Alan Ferguson, during a Sunday celebration set in New Orleans. Solange met video director, Alan, at an art gallery event back in 2008, after her 2007 divorce with her ex-husband. Yes, her entire family was in attendance: Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles, Blue Ivy, and Solange’s son, Julez.

You’ve got to see this adorable video Solange uploaded on her Instagram of her dancing with her son.

The weekend-long festivities included a private movie screening, a rehearsal dinner, a dance party, and the wedding ceremony! Also, Solange kind of broke out into hives on her wedding day, but not to worry, it wasn’t because she was nervous or anything! She claimed it was because it was a hot day and there was all this excitement which made her break out, it was all taken care of soon enough. All the celebrations, we must say, were absolutely gorgeous. It was an all-white kind of weekend, giving us some labor day flashback.

All the guests looked impeccable. Solange herself wore around 6 outfits throughout the weekend. Our favorites were her Stephen Rolland jumpsuit and of course, the cape-dress by Humberto Leon For Kenzo gown, also with a cape.

Everything from the flowers, the way the couple entered the wedding on cycles, to the southern-inspired food were thoroughly enjoyed by the guests. Guests also included celebrities like Jenna Lyons and Janelle Monae.

Solange Knowles has always been one to dance to her own tune. Surprisingly, she’s always had a very different sensibility than that of her sister, pop songstress, the Queen Bey. The quirky singer and songwriter had a wedding true to her style.

P.S – We love Solange’s crazy afro. What about you?
