Almost every TV actor secretly wishes to make it to the big screen someday. While some of their dreams do come true, others’ don’t. Naturally, it’s a moment to rejoice for one of the most loved leading ladies of Indian television, Kritika Kamra. Best remembered for her stint on shows like Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Kitani Mohabbat Hai, this actress recently got her big ticket to Bollywood. Yes, that’s right. According to a report in a leading tabloid, Kritika has managed to bag the leading role opposite the Ungli actor, Neil Bhoopalam in a major Hindi movie.
The project will mark the directorial debut of Delhi Belly writer Akshat Verma. It seems the film is going to be a quirky comedy based in Mumbai. Also, it happens to have an ensemble cast, although the rest of the actors are yet to be finalized.
TV heartthrobs, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sushant Singh Rajput tasted success right after their first outing in Bollywood. On the other hand, TV actors like Rannvijay Singha, Aamna Sharif and Rajeev Khandelwal couldn’t weave magic despite being household names. Televisions hotties, Barun Sobti and Karan Singh Grover are all set to make their Bollywood debut soon. And Saraswatichandra actress, Jennifer Winget will also be seen opposite director Kunal Kohli in Phir Se.
Anyway, cooming back to Kriti, here’s wishing her all the luck for her B-town debut!
