The official teaser of Badlapur is here and it is super impressive. The movie tells the story of Raghu, played by Varun Dhawan, whose happily married life takes an ugly turn after the death of his wife, played by Yami Gautam. The aim is one: Revenge!
The trailer looks really promising and man, kudos to Varun for the epic physical transformation he has undergone for this role. He really is going from strength to strength with each of his performances. Huma Qureshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vinay Pathak and Divya Dutta also play key roles in the film. With the star-cast comprising such power-house performers, expectations are high. The background score by Sachin-Jigar in the trailer is also appropriately haunting.
The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan, who has previously given us kick-ass, edgy films like Ek Hasina Thi (Urmila Matondkar-Saif Ali Khan) and Johnny Gaddar (Neil Nitin Mukesh). The two films were so cool that I’m even willing to forgive him for his last directorial outing, Agent Vinod (Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor). Raghavan is seemingly back with a bang!
