Action Jackson has released and debutant Manasvi Mamgai is happy that despite featuring in a role that is aggressive, intimidating and demanding, she has managed to make her presence felt amongst the other leading ladies (Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam) in the film. Though she refuses to call it a negative role by stating that it is all about different perspectives from the eyes of different folks (well, her character either kills or orders killing at will, but then who are we to tag that as negative?!), the fact remains that her bold-n-sexy act comes with its own ‘chutzpah’ (Oh Haider, how much we love this word now!).
Says Manasvi, an ex-Miss India:
Well, call it the way you wish but the fact remains that picking up an unconventional role was by choice, I didn’t want to start my innings in Bollywood by playing a boring typical girl next door role. I always wanted to do something different and am glad that I got to have got this opportunity.
As it turned out, though, her very entry point in Bollywood with this Gordhan Tanwani and Eros production required her to get into ample exposure from her first till the last scene. For someone whose entry scene in the film required her to lust for Ajay Devgn and the last scene warranted that she bays for his blood, Manasvi went through various emotions in the film. Meanwhile, what spoke the loudest were her dare-bare outfits that stayed classy throughout and still managed to entice the masses, hence evoking loud cheers and whistles, especially in the interiors of the country where she has managed to make her presence felt to the maximum. Considering the fact that she comes from a beauty pageant background, what was the contribution that she made to her styling? Manasvi added,
You know what, I have not really worked on my styling in Action Jackson, honestly, I have limited knowledge of the craft. I just followed whatever Prabhu sir had conceptualized. It’s his idea and sense about the look that he had in his mind; I just followed the manner in which he wanted to present me.
Well, now that you have managed to put your one foot into the industry, it would be interesting to see the kind of styling that you adopt for your next outing in Bollywood, Manasvi.
