Remember Imam Siddiqui? Why, of course you do! So buzz was that the channel, in yet another attempt to give a boost to Bigg Boss 8‘s TRP, was planning to rope in Imam as the next Wild Card Entry on the show. In an interview to a leading daily Imam confirmed this saying that he is in talks with the channel. However, his grand entry back to the Bigg Boss house may not see the light of the day as the two parties cannot agree on Imam’s remuneration.
Now the thing is Imam is entertaining alright but he has demanded a whooping sum of 1 crore as signing amount. I recently told you the details of the Bigg Boss contract. He said:
By virtue of the social media following that I have garnered, I deserve certain remuneration. They have offered me a pittance, but I need a crore as minimum guarantee. The last time, I sacrificed money for visibility but not now. If Upen Patel can get Rs. 40 lakh and a non-entity like Ratan Rajput got Rs. 75 lakh to enter the show, then so do I.
Ouch.
I would love to see Imam in the house and recreate all the drama from season 6 but is Imam 1 crore worth of entertainment?
