Two of the most promising youngsters of Bollywood, Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam, were recently shooting for Vivek Aghnihotri‘s Junooniyat in Kashmir. The entire cast had just begun soaking in the beauty of the place when an unfortunate incident shook them completely. According to several reports, it seems the film’s unit was traveling from Sonmarg to their next venue, when they were hounded by a group of almost 100 torch-bearing men.
Apparently, they were attacked by the local people for shooting a sequence with 20 Kashmiri women. It seems the Kashmiris are okay with their women working in Kashmiri movies but not in Hindi films. And that’s exactly whey the men attacked the entire crew, demanding them to handover all the Kashmiri girls back to them. But thankfully, the girls had already left and therefore this attack didn’t have any serious consequences.
The cast and crew is currently back in Mumbai but they will go back to Kashmir in February 2015 to conclude their last shooting schedule. Here’s hoping that they have a safe stay there this time around.
