Lingaa has released and it is a known fact that superstar Rajinikanth was very excited to have Sonakshi Sinha as his co-star, so much so that he couldn’t help but shower praises on the Dabangg girl. While the veteran actor was pretty supportive of her, considering this was her first Tamil film, he didn’t forget complimenting her for picking up her lines well and also giving the right expressions. He felt that it was commendable on Sonakshi’s part to memorize the lines in Tamil despite not being familiar with the language.

“He carries such an air of normalcy that you have to see it to believe it,” is all that Sonakshi has to say, when asked to comment on the compliments.

Meanwhile, one does wonder that in a film with Rajinikanth, doesn’t a leading lady like Sonakshi have to work extra hard to make her presence felt? “If you notice, in Rajini sir’s film, a leading lady always has a notable role. She never gets sidelined. The film is set in the present and past times, and I play his love interest in the 1940s,” she says, “Moreover, the plot of Lingaa is so very interesting too. He is coming back with the kind of film where he has been so much appreciated in the past. There is a patriotic feel to it as well due to which audience is going crazy in theaters.”

Well, we would like to have a dekko first hand when Eros brings the Hindi version of this KS Ravikumar film on 26th December. Meanwhile, the film is already doing roaring business in Tamil and Telugu versions, which is not a surprise considering the fact that Rajinikanth has arrived on the big screen in a live avatar four years after Endhiran/Robot.
