2014 has been a major year for the makeup industry! There have been a ton of new products and so many amazing collaborations. As the year draws to an end, we’ve decided to round up the top beauty trends from 2014 that we’ve seen on celebrities and runways, alike.

The ‘No Makeup’ Makeup Trend

#1 on our list is the MFBB (My Face But Better) trend. In an era of smoky eyes and heavy foundation, this trend gave our skin a nice break! It highlighted our favourite features, and covered up our problem areas – while making it look like we weren’t wearing any makeup! Our inspiration – Shailene Woodley’s natural beauty at the Teen Choice Awards, 2014.

The Red Lip

Yes, red lips are a classic. But 2014 really showed how powerful a red lip can be! Everyone, from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, and our personal favourite, Emma Watson, have rocked a bold, red lip this year! Fierce and fabulous!

The Bold Brows

Cara Delevingne, take a bow! 2014 was revolutionary for eyebrows. Strong and thick brows made an appearance on every runway, and on the streets of every city. Say hello to eyebrow pencils and goodbye to over-tweezing!

Sweaty Skin

Yes, you read that correctly. Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Jason Wu, and Alexander Wang had models sporting a sexy, sweaty look. Suddenly, our post workout look is all the rage!
