Reportedly, Pooja Bedi has been booked by the Mumbai police under Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act. A while ago, the actress-socialite’s daughter, Alia Furniturewalla had a fight with the late film director, Ramanand Sagar‘s granddaughter, Saakshi. Apparently, Alia had joined Saakshi’s school and that’s when their animosity began. And later, both their mothers also got involved in the brawl.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, this is what Meenakshi Sagar (Saakshi’s mom) had said while lodging a police complaint stating that Bedi’s daughter was bullying her daughter:
“The problem started four years ago when Bedi’s daughter enrolled in the same school as my daughter’s. My daughter’s group of four girls broke away from her and joined Bedi’s daughter and they started bullying my girl. These girls started abusing her on social networking sites and I was forced to intervene.”
She had even affirmed that her daughter was beginning to slip into depression. But Alia had soon apologized and then the matter was closed. However, allegedly, the Bedi girl started bullying Saakshi again with another actor’s daughter. That’s when Meenakshi shifted her daughter to another college but the cyber bullying continued.
In her defense, Pooja told the tabloid:
“This complaint seems to be a case of either publicity-seeking or revenge. My daughter has steered clear of the woman’s girl for years because of her aggressive, nasty nature. The woman’s daughter has created hate pages against my daughter. I have requested them for an apology and to maintain decorum. But both mother and daughter have been abusive and threatening. We would like to steer clear of such vile people and maintain our dignity.”
Previously, both the moms had a nasty tiff in a pub when their daughters had a face-off. Meenakshi has also stated in her complaint that Pooja was dancing with her daughter, Alia, when the latter started bullying Saakshi. According to Mumbai Mirror, the police had to intervene to calm things down even then.
We wonder who’s telling the truth here.
