Because 2015 is just around the corner…literally and it’s that time of the year you can openly say ‘out with the old, and in with the new’. For all those ladies cleaning out their wardrobe in preparation for twenty fifteen – here are a few tips to get you started on your brand new wardrobe!

1) Because it’s all about that ‘Base’

The Pear Shaped Body: This means that your hips, thighs and butt are your body’s centre stage! You don’t necessarily need a big booty to be a pear-shaped beauty, but your lower body is more prominent than your waist and bust (so it really IS all about that base)!

You Should Wear: Try an A-line skirt or wide-leg pants to create more of an hourglass shape. Go crazy with embellished/bright/patterned tops and blouses. Opt for more V-neck tops. You can also pair darker coloured skinny jeans with a loose fitted shirt or blouse. Choose jackets that are fitted through the bust and waist, but gently flare over the hips.

Ileana D’Cruz & Rihanna

2) Curvalicious, baby.

The Curvier Body Type: Most women who belong to this group appear top heavy. You have a full chest and upper back with little waist definition – not to worry, its all about embracing those wonderful curves. Women in this group generally also have fabulous legs and boobs!

You Should Wear: Patterned tops (geometrics, animal prints) are ideal. Mid-rise jeans will keep your rear covered and prevent muffin tops. Stick to structured shift dresses that show off your legs and add a belt for definition. Opt for Long sleeved blouses/dresses/shirts.

Sonakshi Sinha & Christina Hendricks

3) Slim and Trim

The Rectangular Body Type: Your silhouette is fairly straight; up and down with a slight masculine look. You’re similar to an Hourglass but without the waist. Not to fret, that slim and often petite, model-esque body can do oh-so-much!

You Should Wear: Go for detailed tops and dresses with bows and ruffles around the neckline, that fill you out on top. Opt for low slung pants or a cute frock/mid length skirt with some knee high or ankle high boots. Sweetheart necklines and full skirts/gowns do wonders at creating an illusion of curves.

Anushka Sharma & Taylor Swift

4) For that body like a Coke Bottle

The Hour-Glass Shaped Body: Those ladies with a body like a coke bottle – you’re blessed with the best proportions! Your upper and lower half are approximately in line with each other, along with a defined waist.

You Should Wear: Make the most out of your mid-section and go for cinched dresses, jackets and sweaters that show off your waist. Wear more cardigans and jackets that graze your hips. Wear jeans that are fitted at the waist. Go crazy with figure hugging dresses (short and long) ensuring you show off all of that hourglass hotness (top and bottom included)!

Malaika Arora Khan & Beyonce

5) Cause you put my Love on Top <3

The Inverted Triangle Body Type: This particular body type is the most athletic looking figure of them all! This body type also belongs to models, such as Cindy Crawford and Gemma Ward (to name a few). If you fit this category, you tend to have slightly broader/wider shoulders.

You Should Wear: Avoid high necklines and go crazy wearing bold colours and wild patterns – but try to apply this primarily to your bottom half. Opt for straight, cigarette style pants instead of skinny jeans. Stick to strapless, flowy dresses that show off those glorious shoulders!

Sonam Kapoor & Angeline Jolie
