Amongst many other things, this year has been a rather eventful year of debutantes in B-town! While we’ve loved seeing each of them flourish in their respective genres, we’re wondering what 2015 has in store for these fresh faces.
1) The ‘Seeti Maar’ Debut
![Tiger Shroff](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/DSC_0035.jpg)
‘Mere Naal Tu Whistle Baja’ – Tiger Shroff called, and the audience followed. Battling a barrage of jokes and high expectations due to lineage, Tiger impressed all with his confident debut in Heropanti. He has literally back-flipped/cart-wheeled/half flown his way into the industry!
2) The ‘I am star material’ Debut
![Kriti Sanon](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Kriti-Sanon-2.jpg)
She is made for even bigger things, it is as simple as that. Delhi girl, Kriti Sanon showed us exactly how it works when you stick to the basics of being a Hindi film heroine. She scored as a ‘Soni Kudi’ in Heropanti.
3) The ‘Was I actually seen’ Debut
![Deeksha Seth](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Deeksha-Seth-1.jpg)
This girl has spunk. She can act well too. Unfortunately, no one saw that, as her debut film sunk without a trace. Successful down South, Deeksha Seth deserves to be seen again after Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.
4) The ‘Kapoor Khandaan’ Debut
![Armaan Jain](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/085-_DSC0307.jpg)
A Kapoor khandaan lad comes with a ton of expectations. However, when a film of yours (Lekar Hum Deewana Dil) releases without much spark, tables turn. Armaan Jain must really be feeling the pinch.
5) The ‘Aaj-blue-hai-paani’ Debut
![Divya Khosla Kumar](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/divyakhosla.jpg)
Riding on the power of cool visuals, a young cast and a chartbuster – Divya Kumar started her Bollywood sojourn well with Yaariyaan. The film however, was most popular for it’s chartbuster ‘Aaj Blue Hai Paani Paani‘
6) The ‘filmy connection’ Debut
![Akhil Kapur](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/147-DSC_5435.jpg)
For the nephew of Vinod Khanna, it was an uncharacteristically long struggle for Akhil Kapur who was eventually seen in Desi Kattey. Though the film didn’t see a wide release, Akhil is already onto his next!
7) The ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ Debut
![Shaan and Mika](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/shaan4.jpg)
One may not see Mika Singh and Shaan singing together too often but when it came to an acting assignment, the two singers were more than glad to share screen space. The results were average and the film was nothing out of the ordinary.
8) The Menacing debut
![Tahir Raj Bhasin](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/TRB4.jpg)
In his first notable appearance, Tahir Raj Bhasin was entrusted with the responsibility of playing a villain opposite Rani Mukerji in Mardaani. He kept away from the clichés of a sex trafficker, and impressed all.
9) The ‘silence-is-a-killer’ debut
![Freddy Daruwala](https://wp.missmalini.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/DSC0247.jpg)
In his first ever major screen appearance, Freddy Daruwala had to take on none other than Akshay Kumar and that too over the phone. As a villain, his silent gestures spoke the loudest in Holiday – a success.
This was a mere glimpse of what we were left with at the end of 2014.
As for this coming year, well, only time will tell!
