As you know by now, Bigg Boss 8 is coming to an end. Sadly, Salman Khan will not be meeting you in your living rooms one weekend after the other and take all the contestants’ cases. As much as I’d miss him, because we at MissMalini HQ truly believe that no one but him can do a worthy job of hosting the show, I’m trying to be very open minded about what the makers of the show have in store for us next – Bigg Boss Halla Bol.
Farah Khan will be replacing Salman as host and the new series is said to be completely different from the existing one. She’s burning the midnight oil preparing and is also getting some super tips from Salman.
While all these exciting developments are taking place, I can’t help but wonder how the contestants have agreed to stay for an extended time period of an entire month in their house of horrors! Of course, the contract details of the show are tempting, but is money really that important? Anyway, tonight, the grand finale that’ll bid Salman off will be aired, but that’s not the only thing. Upen Patel got evicted in a surprise mid-week elimination (exclusive chat with him coming up super soon!).
Following Upen’s eviction, the remaining contestants are being damn chilled out as they don’t think anyone will be shown the door – let alone two! That’s right! Buzz is that both Puneet Issar and Dimpy Ganguly will be exiting the show in tonight’s grand finale, revealing to audiences their top 5 Bigg Boss inmates of the season – Gautam Gulati, Pritam, Karishma Tanna, Ali Quli Mirza and Sonali Raut.
This is how Bigg Boss Halla Bol will begin. The series has 5 ex Bigg Boss contestants challenging the top 5 of this season. I already told you about the names that were doing the rounds recently and almost all are part of the series. Ajaz Khan (who is already back in the house with all his antics), Rahul Mahajan, Mahek Chahal, Sambhavna Seth and Sana Khan are all set to lock horns with our existing contestants.
Out of all of them, only Mahek has a fairly positive image without too many controversies, during her time in the house. Interstingly, Rahul, who was infamous for his love triangle with Monica Bedi and Payal Rohatgi in season 2 has gone on record saying that he has a crush on Sonali Raut. Intersting. It’s a good thing then, I guess, that his former wife would’ve exited the show before he comes in.
Dolly Bindra and Imam Siddiqui were approached for the same. While Dolly has apparently refused, Imam and the makers are not being able to agree on his remuneration as he has demanded 1crore for his month long stint.
If Twitter is anything to go by, then out of the two, Imam’s entry onto the show was very much anticipated. Rumour has it that Sana was roped in last minute for the show. She’s been quoted as saying:
I am pretty excited about entering the house again. I have been there earlier and I understand the game. I had a positive experience and I am sure this one would be even better. I did not do anything drastic the last time that could have shown me in negative light. So there is nothing specific that I would like to change this time around. I feel I am at a disadvantage because I am entering the show late, but still I am sure I will have a blast inside.
