Well, I think you remember, a few days ago, I made a list of reasons Ranveer Singh is the best boyfriend we’ve EVER seen. I know many of you loved it, but some of you were like ‘Why just Ranveer? Why isn’t Deepika called an awesome girlfriend?‘ and that really got us thinking. It got us thinking because Deepika Padukone may seem like the more ‘conservative’ one in their relationship, but after stalking the hell out of her, I realized that Deepika has confessed her adoration for the man at so many instances, it’s crazy it hasn’t gotten as much attention. But now that I have paid attention, here’s a list of the most adorable things Deepika has said/done that makes her the best girlfriend ever!
1) Because she supported Ranveer Singh when he was getting ‘roasted’ by AIB!
She was there when All India Bakchod were roasting Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, applauding her man when he took the nastiest jokes cracked on him extremely sportingly! The same night when Ranveer mouthed ‘I Love You‘ to her on stage. Yes, three words, eight letters.
2) Because she made him meet her parents!
We told you earlier, Ranveer and Deepika went straight to Bengaluru after their Maldives vacation to meet the parents! Obviously she’s proud of her man and is confident enough to introduce him to her parents. Speaks a lot about the kind of bond they share.
3) Because she loves his quirkiness
We all know how Ranveer is the life of every party and unlike most actors (who can’t really digest the spotlight being on someone else) Deepika loves this side of his! This is what she says about Ranveer’s infectious energy:
He’s a wonderful person. He has the ability to walk into a room and make you feel like you’re the most important person in the world. And it’s not just with people he knows. He could be meeting someone for the first time and make him feel like they’re best friends. That’s God given. That’s why he gets so much love.
4) Because she loves the gifts he gives her
I mean it’s gorgeous, who wouldn’t? But I really think this gesture of bringing his gift to this year’s Screen Awards is rather sweet.
5) Because when Ranveer was diagnosed with dengue, she was always there by his side. Always!
Reportedly, Ranveer’s health improved drastically when Deepika visited him. The lady got special permission from the hospital to be with her man – even the gloves, masks and all the precautions didn’t stop her from spending the entire weekend with him!
6) Because she’s been often quoted saying that she loves his no-nonsense attitude
In many interviews, Deepika has stated that she loves Ranveer’s no-nonsense attitude, but she hates his OCD! See, she’s honest and I really think that’s the biggest sign of a healthy relationship.
7) Because she likes to hang with him when he’s off shooting to far away places!
The sets of Dil Dhadakne Do was like a picnic for the cast their significant others. We’re looking at you, gorgeous!
8) Because she’s REALLY compatible with him
In an interview with Filmfare, Deepika spoke extensively about Ranveer:
He’s definitely an important person in my life. He’s probably the most compatible person I’ve met. People find it strange because our energies are different. I’m a calm and centered person. He’s an energetic soul. Actually, people only see that side of his personality. He’s extremely sensitive and emotional. It’s rare to see that in a guy.
I mean if this isn’t true love, what is?
9) Because Ranveer makes her feel special
The lady said it herself:
We’re in a similar space in terms of our age, where we’re coming from in our lives. There’s a lot of similarity between us, he doesn’t come from a film background. He’s also relatively new to the industry. We have a great time together. He makes me laugh a lot.
