The Bigg Boss 8 finale is closer than you think – and, as you know, Dimpy Ganguly and Sambhavna Seth have been in the limelight for ‘giving‘ and ‘taking‘ things. Due to this wonderful turn of events I decided to enlighten us all with things Dimpy Ganguly did before becoming a ‘wild card‘ contestant on Bigg Boss 8 and I know you can’t wait to hear more – check it out:
1) Her real name is Soumasri and her Facebook page has a rather interesting story behind changing her name to Dimpy

2) Was declared the second runner-up in the ‘Sananda Tilottma’, a beauty competition held in Eastern Kolkata
Famous celebrities who have launched themselves through Sananda Tilottma include Bipasha Basu, Tanushree Dutta, Koena Mitra and Celina Jaitely. Good company, Dimpy!
3) Did a small role and an item song in a Bengali movie titled Hello Memsahab!

4) Participated in Gladrags MegaModel Manhunt 2009
And looked quite hot I must say, Rahul Mahajan scored.
5) Married Rahul Mahajan
On the reality show Rahul Ki Dulhanya Le Jayenge, fun times for both.
6) Danced in Nach Baliye 5
They were not exceptional dancers (okay Rahul wasn’t, Dimpy was good) but they had quite a lot of admirers!
7) Accused Rahul Mahajan of domestic violence
She alleged that Rahul would physically assault her on a regular basis, that led to them separating for a while before getting back again. They have now separated again and are awaiting their divorce.
