Thursday evening saw the launch of Samyukta Nair‘s Dandelion – a sleepwear label we didn’t know we needed until we caught a glimpse of it. Six Degrees at The Leela had everyone from Vogue India‘s Bandana Tewari, designers Arpita Mehta and Shubhika from Papa Don’t Preach to Nishka Lulla and actors Mohit Marwah and Sonam Kapoor come out to celebrate and support Nair’s brainchild. Hosted by Pernia’s Pop Up Shop’s Pernia Qureshi, models mingled in their Dandelion sleepwear that made us want to trade in our stilettos and spanx for some soft poplin jammies.
The collection comes sprinkled with fun prints and are entirely handmade. They can be customised according to your personality and come in styles that you can be sure to love. Author Siddharth Sanghvi said of the collection
I don’t know anything about sleepwear but I can spot talent a mile off, and Samyukta Nair has it by the heaps. She certainly also has the bloodlines for success, and her vision for Dandelion carries traces of adventure and beauty that were also hallmarks of her grandfather, Captain Nair. She’s a silent player, chipping away quietly, a thoroughbred for the long race.
Isheta Salgaocar from Huffington Post India says,
Dandelion is luxury-comfort at it’s best. Each set of garments is made-to-order only using the finest materials, customized to each individual wearer. Sleeping well is important, especially given the busy lives everyone is leading, and this brand provides the perfect cocoon to drift into a dreamy paradise. Furthermore, the team at Dandelion is one of the most professional ones you will deal with; with orders sometimes ready ahead of time!
I don’t know about you, but knowing how we do it at Team MissMalini, we might take these to work with us too!
