Wanna up the ante on Valentine’s day and do something out of the box? Here are eight simple things that ensure your Valentine’s day is anything BUT boring!
Because sure you’ve seen the sunset, but have you ever experienced the beauty of a sunrise?! It may be a little cold, so it’s the perfect situation to bundle up with some blankets and your special someone and even grab breakfast after!
Go swimming together, take a bubble bath or sit in a spa. Heck, go for a moonlight swim even – just don’t freeze to death in the process!
Go to a book store or a music store and split up. Buy your sweetie something you know they will love, reunite and give each other your gifts! Saves you the whole ordeal of having to think too much about an appropriate gift in the lead up to Valentine’s day!
Ever wished you could twirl and spin like a pro? Well now’s your chance! Get a hold of your loved one, and attend a couple’s dance class. All the touchiness and endorphins while dancing could lead to other things off the dance floor too… ahem.
Cook up a storm, lay out all sorts of goodies from chocolate covered strawberries, to cookies, to brownies to ice cream and other sinful pleasures on one table and indulge away. Don’t be afraid to get a little messy with one and other! The messier, the more fun… oh and chocolate is a total aphrodisiac!
Embrace your inner child and build a fort at home together. Use all the pillows and blankets you have (the more the better) and relax with some movies, popcorn and drinks when you’re all done! Voila – you now have your own super comfy, home theatre!
For those adventure junkies and outdoor people, go exploring! Plan a trek or a road trip somewhere beautiful and go equipped with a picnic. Try to look for secluded outdoor spots, so its just you, some sunshine, a beautiful view and your valentine – picture perfect!
Drive to the nearest beach after dinner and have dessert by a bonfire. Make sure you have plenty of marshmallows, wine and rugs at hand! Nothing beats this on a perfectly moonlit, starry night. (If there are no beaches nearby, lay out some blankets on the terrace or any other secluded place with a nice view).
So ditch the flowers and chocolates, think of something unique and do it together.
Not long to go till love day <3!
