Before I slip into yet another food coma (Yup! that’s a thing), here’s what we thought about these shows at #GionneIBFW.
Love everything tribal? This collection will fit right into an amazonian rainforest. Inspired by Nachiket’s love for photographing exotic locations and wildlife, this collection was all about cool textures (dragonfly, tuba voodoo symbols), sheer silhouettes and warm, lush tones.
Anupama Dayal‘s design philosophy? One size fits all! “I make clothes for women of all sizes!” the designer said backstage. Signature Anupamaa prints—that were upgraded with prettier-than-ever floral motifs, worn over tiny bikini’s got us really excited for our next destination weeding!
Komal Sood took her love for Red Carpet gowns and decorated them with most stunning sea shell beading ever. Flowy gowns in pastel shades, lingerie detailing and the cutest pearl tiara were the highlights of her show.
James showcased a collection that had the right mix of sexy and va-va-voom, while being effortlessly cool. The highlight? A series of black, long and lean, draped dresses that closed the show and can easily be worn 20 years from now!
Denim mania! Raakesh took the biggest trend of SS’15 and gave it an S&M twist! The show transitioned from ’70s silhouettes in denim for day to plunging, sex goddess-y Raakesh Aggarwal gowns for night! What else can a girl want? We say, That’s all!
