Recently, I heard about an incident where Sidharth Malhotra sounded off on someone who mentioned the name of his Student of the Year co-star, Varun Dhawan. Even though the two have branched out and have done successful films after their debut, there is still comparison and constant polls about which of them is more popular. So when this person mentioned to Sid that Varun is trying different films like Badlapur whereas Sid isn’t doing the same, the latter was understandably annoyed!
It’s not even completely true, if you think about it, since Sid has dabbled with different kinds of films and has done well for himself. In fact, he’s the type of guy who’s rather quiet and doesn’t have his PR machinery working for him overtime. Despite that, the actor has a big social media fan following and has actually been receiving a lot of offers. So I suppose it’s about time everyone stopped comparing these two young actors!
