It’s a wrap, well…almost. New York Fashion Week 2015 comes to an end tomorrow and we’ve been wowed by everything from Alexander Wang to J Crew, from Oscar De La Renta to Zac Posen! If you haven’t been glued to the fashion news for the past few days, no worries, we’ve got a trend recap coming up very soon! But if you’re like me, a beauty kinda girl, then you have to follow these brands on Instagram. They’ve got updates and makeup trends, basically, the skinny on all the beauty stuff that’s going to be big, come FW 2015/16. Here goes!
1) Charlotte Tilbury – @ctilburymakeup
Follow British makeup artist, Charlotte Tilbury‘s brand account for backstage access to DKNY & EDUN. We’ve also spied some snaps of her working closely with MAC and seeing the beauty industry work together just warms our heart.
From what we can see, it looks like the bold eyeliner and doll-like lashes are back, and lipstick too! We aren’t steering too far from the no-makeup face, but we love the addition of berry shades and a dash of glitter.
2) MAC Cosmetics – @maccosmetics
Of course, there’s no fashion week without MAC. You name the designer show and they’re there. MAC is collaborating with various different makeup artists, at collections like Altuzarra, Herve Leger, and Carmen Marc Valvo!
Again, we’re seeing exaggerated doll lashes, sun-kissed cheeks and lips, paired with flawless skin. Every once in a while, there’s that bold pop of color. We love how that looks on the lids.
3) Sephora – @sephora
Sephora is what a beauty addict’s dreams are made of. They’re covering everything from hair to nails and makeup, backstage at the NYFW. You can’t get enough of it and you don’t have to. Scroll to number 4!
4) Sephora Pro – @sephorapro
Yes, they’ve got an entirely separate pro account with different pictures and even more information. The visuals are seriously stunning and if you’re looking for product recommendations, you’ve found the holy grail!
5) NARS – @narsissist
NARS worked backstage at the glamorous Naeem Khan show and whipped up magic with their Weightless Luminous Foundation backstage at the Rodarte show. Catch all the action on their official Instagram account! Playing with light and reflection is still a very prominent theme at fashion weeks! But a close look at NARS’s Instagram account also reveals the comeback of a certain kind of punk: “utilitarian punk.”
6) Maybelline – @maybelline
They’re clueing you in on everything abstract and releases that haven’t even hit stores yet! Check out their backstage posts and follow their looks on shows like Suno NY and Baja East!
7) Bobbi Brown – @bobbibrown
Their Instagram brings us the scoop on everything from tools of the trade to flawless pigments. Bobbi Brown is synonymous with natural beauty and no one does it better than them. If you’re looking to perfect their illuminated finish, check them out backstage!
