Most of us have grown up reading Archie Comics, I mean this series is one of the most important comic book series in pop-culture! We’ve loved it so much that we actually did a Bollywood casting of the beloved characters. But I have a confession to make, I never really liked Veronica… until recently. I was always Team Betty as a kid but as I’m growing older and wiser (I am okay!) I think Veronica is the feminist icon we never knew we had. Here’s a list of my reasons!
1) She was NEVER the second fiddle.
Betty is amazing, fun, intelligent and a great person, but she’s somewhat of a doormat at times. She usually takes Archie‘s sh*t far too often and still entertains him when he cancels their date to be with Veronica! Veronica on the other hand cannot be messed with and I think that’s awesome.
2) If Archie was busy with Betty or whoever, she always had back-up!
She just has to nod her head and there would be a line of boys outside her mansion!
3) Her fashion is on fleek!
Well, she is Queen V so…
4) Veronica is always there for Betty (even though they are rivals for Archie’s affections!)
She once also told Archie that she and Betty are rivals in only unimportant matters, like boys. #BossLodge
5) She’s all set to own her father’s business.
And man we know she’ll be AMAZING! Veronica is known to be exceptionally great at Math and Economic anyway.
6) She speaks her mind and takes no bullsh*t.
None whatsoever.
7) And she loves herself, irrespective of what others think!
Because she’s a star and no one can take away her shine!
