According to reports doing the rounds, Aamir Khan has really upset Karan Johar with the comments he made about the #AIBRoast. If you remember, at a recent event, Aamir publicly stated that he was very disappointed in Karan and Arjun Kapoor, who had recounted the jokes to him the night the roast happened. Not only that, Aamir went as far as to call it very “violent” and said that he scolded the two for participating in it.
While Karan Johar may not have gone on record to say anything in response to Aamir’s comment, word doing the rounds is that he’s “taken aback” by the actor publicly condemning the show. After all, Karan is fairly close to both Aamir and his wife, Kiran Rao, so he probably didn’t expect him to come out in the open and express his disapproval.
It’s not just Karan, though – there are others who don’t exactly think Aamir’s comment was in great taste. There are probably not many who’d want to come out and say anything, but Pooja Bhatt hasn’t shied away from calling him ‘frightening and injurious,’ while Russell Peters pretty much asked Aamir to shut up.
This whole issue is shaping up to be a lot messier than anyone expected. Here’s hoping everything settles down soon, and this doesn’t escalate into a full-on fight between Aamir and Karan.
