Once Holi is over and the hangover is kicking in, what to do about those damaged tresses? Calm down, there’s no need to stress. We’ve got a few tips and products that will have your hair back to normal before you can say Holi Sh*t! Bad joke? Ahh… well, I try.

Cleaning your hair out after the festival is quite a task. You might want to sit under running water and let all the color run out first, at least as much as possible.

Then, you will want to shampoo twice and for a good two minutes each, to get rid of all the residue. Use a gentle shampoo because you don’t want to dry out your hair too much after all the chemicals. Here are a few intensely moisturizing shampoos you can use.

Post shampoo and conditioning (you can throw in a mask if you aren’t too lazy), rinse your hair with lemon water. This will restore balance to your hair. All you have to do is squeeze the juice of one lemon into a cup of water and don’t rinse this out.
