This week has been full of bizarre events in the world of television. As if the news of Karan Patel and Kamya Punjabi’s break up and his decision to marry Ankita Bhargava wasn’t enough, we heard that Diya Aur Baati Hum’s Deepika Singh slapped her co-star Anas Rashid.
Her side of the story…
As per speculations, this incident happened on the sets of the show while shooting one of the episodes. Apparently, Anas held Deepika inappropriately while one of the scenes were being shot and she went to the director to complain. Fair enough!
Anas, like a rather matured individual (I’m being sarcastic), barged in on Deepika’s conversation with the director and started hurling abuses at her, as a reaction to the accusation. Things got out out of control, so Deepika decided to take everything in her hands (quite literally) and slapped her dear co-star.
Consequences of the action
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction and in this case, Anas was at the receiving end of both. Rumours made the rounds that he is going be replaced by another actor since the two can’t see each other eye to eye. And after all, it’s because of Sooraj ji’s love for Sandhya that this show is so popular!
All’s well that ends well
No guys, I am not talking about the show ending! Thankfully for fans, CINTAA (The Cine and TV Artistes Association) intervened in the matter and spoke to Deepika and Anas individually to make peace. The two sorted out their difference and hugged and made up. Aww! That’s the least they can do after abusing and slapping each other.
