We love inspiring stories, especially when they feature people following their passions to deliver something remarkable. This is why we’ve been looking forward to The Step Up, a unique mentorship program by Johnnie Walker that will feature nine shortlisted individuals competing over four weeks to land the career-defining move of their lives in the fields of food, fashion and music.
The Step Up features three mentors: culinary wizard Nikhil Chib, avant-garde designer Nikhil Thampi, and pioneering musician duo MIDIval Punditz. These mentors will select three mentees each under them, who will get the opportunity to learn and improve their skills during the four-week mentorship program that will feature some challenging tasks. At the end of the program, one winner will be selected under each mentor – and the chosen ones will win a six-month apprenticeship with Nikhil Thampi (for fashion), Nikhil Chib (for food) and an exclusive opportunity to embark on a four-city tour with MIDIval Punditz (for music).

It all kicks off at 9pm (16th March) when the first webisode goes live. This one’s an exciting audition-special which will feature Nikhil Chib meeting five aspiring chefs from across the country. He’ll also be picking his top three mentees, who will embark on the four-week mentorship program.
