It’s been 20 whole years since the magic of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge was created on celluloid. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol made Raj and Simran come to life in a way that the couple (on screen and off it) remains iconic to this date. Speaking of iconic, do you remember the #Palat scene from the movie? Why, of course you do!

Let’s refresh your memory, shall we?

Now what if I told you that one of your favourite scenes from DDLJ (I know it is mine!) is heavily… errm… “inspired” by the Hollywood movie, In The Line Of Fire, that came out in ’93 – two whole years before DDLJ hit the screens. That’s right! Clint Eastwood did the palat scene before Shah Rukh! I’m experiencing physical pain in my heart as I’m typing this.

How am I supposed to trust anything now? Sigh. This #NostagiaTrip hasn’t been a very happy one. I’ll still palto for you a thousand times over, Shah Rukh. I guess, bade bade deshon mein aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain!
