The chaos in the telly world just doesn’t seem to end. After Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava’s sudden roka ceremony, Anas Rashid–Deepika Singh slapgate and Sakshi Tanwar’s hush hush wedding news last week, this week began with another shocker!
In a rather scary turn of events, some men ganged up against TV actor Suyyash Rai and late night on Sunday and beat him up mercilessly while he was driving to Goregaon from Powai on the national highway.
From what Suyyash said, a misunderstanding led to this event. Here’s what he has to say:
While driving back to Goregaon from Powai on the national highway, I was surrounded and targeted by some goons. It all happened when a BEST bus came on my way all of a sudden and to protect my car I applied brakes instantly. But there was one more car behind mine which thought I was playing around thus dodged dangerously and overtook my car.
As per Suyyash, 15-20 men stepped out of the car with sticks and started hitting him. They also claimed to be part of an affluent political party, which probably (according to them!) gave them the license to beat someone up so ruthlessly. Disgusting.
Despite a lot of other cars surrounding them, no one came out to help, which is both scary and tragic!
It was sad that no one came to help me. Finally after a while one guy from the crowd came to stop them. But those men kept abusing me and said that they belonged to some political party and one should never mess with them. I have bruises all over my body.
An FIR has now been filed against these men and Suyyash is waiting for the cops to take action.
In the meantime, Suyyash’s beau, Kishwer Merchant, who was very upset and annoyed (and rightfully so), also had something to say about the entire episode.
We wish Suyyash a speedy recovery and hope also that the miscreant is rightfully punished!
