Listen, Karan Arjun is one of the best revenge dramas ever made! That and Khoon Bhari Maang (incidentally they’re both made by Rakesh Roshan) always charge me up. Everything about this drama screams the words: EPIC. And that is exactly why I have stated 10 reasons which show why Karan Arjun is the movie to watch on weekends (K3G who?).
1) The whole reincarnation thing.
Madhumati and Karan Arjun will always remain pioneers when it comes to reincarnation depicted in Bollywood. From lightning striking when their reincarnated versions meet; to the dreams they both get of their violent deaths in their previous birth – this janmo ka bandhan is quite impactful!
2) Mere Karan Arjun zaroor aayenge.
Make a list of the most iconic dialogues ever said in Bollywood and kill me if this line doesn’t make it to top 10!
3) Lightning bolt!
Even the rain Gods were on their side when Ajay and Vijay (Karan and Arjun 2.0) were fighting, not knowing that they’re in fact BROTHERS from a janam ANOTHER! *Gasp*
4) What a joke!
This catchphrase is as smooth as Asif Sheikh‘s hair.
5) This song.
So much sex, so many innuendos, so much Mamta!
6) Amrish Puri’s face in this song.
The face of an excited man. #CannotUnsee
7) Rakhee!
I mean she’s obviously the main character in this movie. Without her beliefs and prayers, Ajay and Vijay would never be Karan and Arjun. Plus, making them murder Amrish Puri like he murdered her original children is badass. Moral of this movie is to never mess with Raakhee jee.
8) Their murder scene!
The bad guys brutally kill our baes so early in the movie! And even though we know they’ll come back (I mean Raakhee believes it, so do we), it’s gut wrenching to see them die. But I guess, that’s what makes Raakhee’s revenge so much more fun! Seriously guys, never, ever mess with Rakhee jee.
9) This eerily epic song.
Sets the mood of the blood bath waiting to happen. Also facepaint for the win guys!
10) Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together!
Move over Shah Rukh – Kajol and Salman – Aishwarya, SRK and Sallu are the best duo to grace our silver screen! So now that they have patched up, how about doing a movie together again eh?
