The Internet is fun, but rather strange sometimes. Especially when it comes to a celebrity, and especially if the celebrity decides to tweet something. As you know, Rishi Kapoor has taken this social networking site by storm with his humourous tweets and not so politically correct opinions; but sadly his frankness got him in a sticky situation. Ever to jump the gun, people responded negatively to a tweet he put up about the politicians of our country.
Sledging in cricket was heard of. Now in Indian Parliament too? That too against women? Wah! Kya mardangi dikha rahe ho-kamzor pe atyachar?

Soon after, tweets started pouring in calling Rishi Kapoor sexist due to the fact that he called women ‘kamzor,‘ which is Hindi for weak. Getting sick of the nasty tweets coming his way, Mr. Kapoor lashed out at the people who picked on him.
Didn’t mean to say kamzor in that sense. Meant it well but misinterpreted I have done films championing their cause. Why would I say wrong — rishi kapoor (@chintskap) April 2, 2015
Yo! But look how I get into problems. Misinterpreted misconstrued misunderstood! Why would I say anything against women for Gods sake!

I have done films for and about their rights. I am getting a bit demoralised here on Twitter. No actor worldwide has fought for their cause — rishi kapoor (@chintskap) April 2, 2015
More then I have on celluloid. Think on Twitter people wait for you to make an error then screw you. I should have chosen my words wisely

Films that I mentioned bears testimony that I have been a crusader for women emancipation and empowerment and now they condemn me?I feel bad

Thinking of breaking off again. I am not a good diplomat nor a hypocrite. Say what I have to without wanting to hurt anyone intentionally

It seems like Rishi Kapoor is rather hurt with the kind of accusations levied on him. Hope he doesn’t leave Twitter, though… he and Twinkle Khanna are by far the funniest B-Town celebrities on the site!
