After a decent weekend at the box office, Ek Paheli Leela stated reasonably consistent during the weekdays, albeit on the lower side. As a result, the first week collections of the Sunny Leone starrer stood at 24 crores. Though one didn’t expect footfalls to be too high, they could have been better considering the kind of fan following that Sunny Leone enjoys. Also, her last major release Ragini MMS-2 had been a clean hit at the box office and hence something close to the eventual collections (50 crores) seemed to be on the cards. As things stand today though, the Bobby Khan directed film would wrap up around the 30 crores mark.

Another release of the week, Dharam Sankat Mein, didn’t score much. The reviews were decent to above average and the word of mouth was far from being the kind that would have brought the film into the ‘must watch’ category. At certain centres the film was collecting decent numbers but overall the awareness quotient still remained low. Moreover, the content too wasn’t the kind that would have necessitated huge escalation over the week days. As a result, the first week billing stood at a little under 8 crores and the way it is going, just about 10 crores could be the final total on the cards.

Meanwhile Fast and Furious 7 had yet another good week as it brought home over 20 crores at the box office. With the total standing around 93 crores, the film would surpass 100 crores at the box office this week. A Blockbuster!
