Nepal, a country which is our neighbor, a friend and the home to Everest has become a victim to nature’s fury. The worst earthquake in 80 years has hit the Indo Nepal Region.

At such an hour, millions of helping hands can never be enough to build back the lives of this now lost nation. As much as our own country, and many across the world have started providing the necessary funds and aid, we as citizens of humanity must put forward all the minimal help we can provide.

To channelize this initiative, I have established contact with Ms Rajlaxmi Golcha, Member of Parliament, Biratnagar Nepal. Ms Golchha is presently involved in multiple community services establishments and herself is the founder of Mahendra Kumar Golchha Memorial foundation. As per our discussion the intensity of damage to lives and habitat is far more heart crunching than what the Television and social media is reporting. The concentration right now is just around Kathmandu City as it’s easiest accessible point.

The Areas that are severely damaged and require immediate aid are Dhading, Gorkha, Jomsom, Lamjung, Chitwan, Everest Base Camp and Kathmandu ofcourse.

The concentration right now is to get the most necessary material across to people in the form of Baby food and diapers, All first aid medication, Chlorine tablets, Women’s sanitation needs, medicines like pain killers, metformin, blankets and some basic dry food.

All the collections that will be received will be send via 2 routes, Kathmandu by Air and by road from Siliguri, India into Biratnagar, Nepal. I am sincerely looking forward to any form of the above mentioned aid that you could provide to help the victims of this brutal calamity.
