The Perfect date with Eina Ahluwalia while discovering the Secrets of the Streets: Kolkata.

I finally made it to the city of joy, Kolkata! On the first ever #MMFashionTour, I managed to squeeze in this #SecretsOfTheStreet session. I’ve heard so many wonderful stories about the city and its love for art. So obviously, this made it a sure shot for BandraRoad!

On my way to a visit to Eina Ahluwalia‘s studio, I took a little detour of my own to discover a street shopping spot called Gariahat.

Before I took to the street, I grabbed a quick Aam Panna drink to beat the heat and then head straight to where all the excitement lay.

So much to shop!

I was told by my cab driver that Gariahat is a favorite street shopping choice for locals and tourists too. Reason being, the vendors are chatty and very accommodating, and the fact that there’s so much to choose from makes Gariahat a must-visit.

This trip was a blast and I felt Kolkata’s joyous side! From the narrow street lanes bustling with shops and people, to corner stores selling vintage Bengali furniture.
