Makeup Remover DIY

Your kitchen is like a hidden treasure chest when it comes to whipping up the best beauty DIYs. Sometimes, certain makeup removers cause irritation and redness for people with sensitive skin. Along with the amazing stash of food in your kitchen cupboard, lies the answer to gorgeous eyes and healthy skin. If you’ve been running low on your makeup wipes or remover, don’t fret, here’s how you will never go short of your eye makeup remover ever again.

You will need:

1) Olive Oil

Olive oil has many benefits for our skin. It is chemical free and dissolves any residual makeup. It’s also loaded with nutrients, vitamin E and natural antioxidants that help give you softer skin.

2) H20

Ah, water. How many of us have heard our dearest mothers go on about the “drink 8 glasses of water everyday” banter. Well, not to worry mom. Along with quenching our thirst, our skin reaps the benefits too.

3) Cocktail, anyone?

Bring out an empty bottle (you could even use your old makeup remover container) and pour in 1 cup of water and 1/2 a cup of olive oil. Mix it up. Apply a little to your cotton swab and remove your makeup the right way! You’re ready for your next step – moisturiser!
