Unless you live in a world without internet, you already know that Team MissMalini had a rather sparkly shoot yesterday. But it wasn’t just any regular shoot. Along with getting ourselves glammed-up, we had our mothers join in the madness too. Swarovski India wanted to do something special this Mother’s Day, so along with getting Team MissMalini and their moms together for a shoot, there were a couple of things that made this one unlike any other shoot we’ve done.

1. It wasn’t just Team MissMalini

We decided to take one lucky winner along with us for the Swarovski ride and she and her mamma-bear glimmered in their Diva’ni clothes and Swarovski jewels. Veronica (that’s her name) also got to gift her mom a set from their Mother’s Day collection – best Mother’s Day, or what?

2. Surelee & her mom Iris decided to twin

How cute does our BandraRoad girl and all-round stunner Surelee Joseph look with her matching mom? The two of them went for some candy Payal Khandwala and their jewels only added to the shine.

3. Natasha’s Swarovski bracelet was multifunctional

Don’t we love it when our jewellery can do many things? A bracelet as a necklace, an earring as a maang-tikka. Ever seen a bracelet being used as a headband? Swarovski has! P.S. Don’t Natasha and her mom look identical?

4.  MissMalini Sr. stole the show

Everything from singing to make us giggle during the shoot and dancing as the cameras clicked away, MissMalini‘s mom was a bundle of energy – now we know where MissMalini gets it from.

5. What’s a shoot without some Bollywood?

Once you see Bollywood blogger, Swagata and her mom’s final picture, you’ll realise that it could give the giant portrait of Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham a run for it’s money. After all, the shoot would have been incomplete without some Bollywood poses, right?

6. Fashion minds think alike

Right from our coordinated outfits to matching Swarovski crystals, my mom and I were completely in sync. It’s true, I get all my ‘Fashion blogger’ knowledge from her.

7. The glam squad + backdrop

As if the glittering baubles weren’t enough, the BBlunt team took our hair and makeup from drab to fab. And when your hair and makeup is on point, you feel invincible (it’s true!). Meanwhile the space we shot in was a palace, no really! The Big Door housed our shoot and by the end of it, we were ready to move in!

Special props go to Marv, our head stylist, who really brought out the supermodels in us with the stunning clothes and made us smile and laugh so the pictures turn out to be gorgeous!
