Will Shahrukh Khan’s Fan release this year? – [Kunal – Vadodara]
There is no confirmation on it yet. Though the film was earlier slated for an August release, it has now been moved ahead indefinitely. In fact the only confirmed release of Shahrukh Khan this year is Dilwale, which is all set to release on the 25th of December. Apparently, YRF hasn’t decided on a date yet as the film requires quite a lot of work on some ‘never seen before’ VFX that are being put together for the film.
Due to this, there is no assurance on whether the film would arrive this year or the next. Considering the fact that all holidays have already have been booked for 2015 as well as 2016, it would be interesting to see which film would have to make way for Fan, which is bound to be picked up the exhibitors as a preferred release, as and when it announces its arrival. Moreover, it is also going to be a solo release.
The film would be arriving within next 12 months for sure since Raees has already been confirmed for 3rd July 2016. Of course this also means that there is a cloud of uncertainty around the eventual arrival of this Maneesh Sharma directed film. However, one truly hopes that the wait is indeed worth it as nothing less than fantastic is expected from Fan.
