The Only Essentials You Need To Carry In Your Travel Makeup Bag!

Makeup Travel Essentials

Rule numero uno while travelling – always travel light! Yes, yes you would have heard this from your mother as well. When it comes to packing up your suitcase you might know the drill. But for your vanity bag, we have a few suggestions. Instead of cramming things up while packing, it’s smarter to carry smaller boxes or products of your makeup. It’ll save you a butt load of space for your new makeup purchases! If you’re lost on how to distinguish what you need and don’t, here are 6 categories you need to keep in mind…

1) Covering your base a.k.a Prep

Remember less is more. Also, you’re on vacation. You don’t want your skin in shambles by the time you get back right? So treat your skin to minimum coverage on days that you’re hanging by the beach or sight-seeing. Stick to light and easy textures for your base…

2) Foundation

Like I said above, you don’t need your entire vanity case. So choose your favourite and preferred pressed powder, that not only weights light on your skin but will keep you looking fresh all through the day.

3) Blush & bronzer

By keeping your foundation at a minimum you can always amp up the rest of your face. Bronzer and blush work wonders and will keep you looking fresh and glowing!

4) Eyes

Guys, mini mascara is the best thing ever invented! This one by Benefit is a super cute, not to mention really compact tool, everyone needs in their vanity. Now there’s no need to carry your entire eyeshadow palette. Just choose a neutral colour or one that will blend in perfectly with the rest of your makeup. Your brow and eye pencils are your faithful companions when you’re out and about for the evening.

5) Lips

Daytime: Vaseline or any other chapstick. Night time: Pop of red!

6) Extras

A nail file, sanitiser and facial wipes. It’s always good to keep these in handy! You can add in a couple of bandaids if you sense a shoe bite episode waiting to happen.
