As Indian women, we’re pretty nervous about going short with our hair, but that doesn’t mean we don’t feel experimental. If you’ve been thinking about changing up your hair game for a while now, go for it!
I chopped off my locks and I wasn’t nervous at all, thanks to TIGI hair expert, Ralf Boss, and saying it didn’t disappoint would be an understatement. The TIGI mission, the one reason they have such a wide range of products, is to give all of us the ability to experiment with our hair! Short, long, layers, curls, or poker straight hair: there’s no reason to be afraid.
Ralf gave me the fabulous “acid hippie” cut, but here’s how my hair looked before the transformation. The difference is pretty whoaaa! Isn’t it?
I also had the opportunity to sit down with Ralf and discuss desi hair, humidity, and what we can do about it. At the time that I got my haircut, we were nearing holi, and he gave me some tips on how to treat damaged hair, as well. Watch the video for details.
Tips to remember:
1. You want volume towards your roots and you want smoothening on your ends.
2. The pink products are for smoothening and the purple products are for volume and strength.
3. Small Talk & After Party are great products for humidity.
4. Recharge shampoo is best to revive and clean your hair after it goes through extreme conditions.
What do you think about my #StyleLikeABoss transformation? All I’ve got to do after every wash is work a little After Party into my hair and run a quick dryer through it. It sets perfectly! For more on this major change, check TIGI India out on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
