Exactly 10 years ago, this movie called Bunty Aur Babli released and was a complete departure from Bollywood’s ‘NRIs falling in love in an international city‘ phase. This wonderfully entertaining movie finally gave Abhishek Bachchan one of the best roles of his career. Rani Mukerji won our hearts and Amitabh Bachchan killed it. But, the biggest surprise was seeing Aishwarya Rai (she wasn’t Bachchan then) show up on screen with the most kickass dance number we’d heard in a long, long time. Basically, Bunty Aur Babli was a laugh riot and one of the best movie-going experiences I’ve had, that’s why let’s celebrate it’s 10th anniversary by listing down its highlights.
1) Rani was feisty AF.
2) And her patiala salwars and kurtis created a fashion storm!
3) Abhishek’s versatility and comic timing was a revelation!
4) They were the first (and only) people (even if they were fictional) to sell off the Taj Mahal!
5) They conned the guy who betrayed Abhishek’s character in this memorable scene!
Basically, they were the desi Bonnie & Clyde, without the blood and bullets.

8) Bachchan sahab.
Im his first movie with his son, Amitabh Bachchan rocked as ACP Dashrath Singh, from the second half to the end-credits, Bachchan sahab was amazing.

Really, they make one of the best on-screen couples.
