So the makers of the seemingly shelved movie – I Love NY directed by Radhika and Vinay Sapru (who BTW have also directed the remix of Kaanta Lagaa, which we all grooved to in high school) are all set to release it on 3rd July. It looks like they’re trying to cash onto the success of their lead actress, Kangana Ranaut. This long ‘in the making‘ film has her and Sunny Deol playing the protagonists and it was to be released around 2 years ago. The reason for the delay is unknown but it seems like the makers have announced a release date because of Kangana’s winning streak at the Box Office.

DNA has reported that Kangana was shocked when she was told that the film was releasing, even after the producer Bhushan Kumar informed her that the movie was not up to the mark and thus wouldn’t be released. After hearing this news, she apparently reached out Bhushan to talk to him about the situation, especially as the movie will be hitting the screen without her consent. He assured her that no such thing would happen but now he has gone ahead and announced the date. Kangana has not seen the trailers or rushes of the film and she hasn’t even been asked to promote it. If the matter isn’t settled then the actress plans to send the makers a legal notice.
