It’s been 9 years since India got its first legit superhero –Krrish! Yay! So to honour this wonderful achievement and Hrithik Roshan‘s body, here are 9 facts you probably didn’t know about this epic blockbuster!

1) Hrithik Roshan received special training in Hong Kong for the special leap he makes in this film!

Imagine, he had to go all the way to Singapore to learn how to jump!

2) When Hrithik Roshan jumped off a 30-foot-high clock tower in Singapore for an action shot, a cable broke in a freak accident… what happens next will blow your minds!

He fell to the ground and would likely have ended up dead or in a wheelchair had it not rained before the shot. This caused the crew to install a canopy on which he promptly fell. He was not hurt and continued shooting some minutes later. The Roshans feel his life was spared by divine intervention.

3) Hrithik broke his right thumb and a toe during the strenuous training for the ambitious wire work used in the film.

Krrish was really not a good movie for his body.

4) Like all the movies produced by Filmkraft Productions, Krrish has a title name starting with the letter ‘K’.

I think the next one should be Kamaal Ka Krrish! Hai na? Hai na?

5) While performing a stunt scene on the circus set, Hrithik Roshan suffered a hamstring tear in his right leg.

The first in the series is called – Krrish: Menace of the Monkey Men.

But Rakesh Roshan saw Priyanka Chopra‘s performance in a special screening of Aitraaz and was so impressed that he decided to cast her instead. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also considered for the role.

In the end I can only say, Amrita Rao would have had a very different Bollywood career had she been the lead actress of this one!
