**I’ve decided to give out one more product from The Body Shop beauty haul! SUBSCRIBE to my youtube.com/missmalinivideos channel and leave me a comment on my new Adventures in Bali video to win one now! :) xoxo
Needless to say, number one on that list has got to be the fact that The Body Shop just took us to Bali! (How is this my life again?!)
But seriously, The Body Shop has been one of my favourite brands for as long as I can remember. So, it was my absolute pleasure to hop on a plane and attend the launch of their Oils Of Life collection (in its brand new packaging!). Plus a new fragrance, Italian Summer Fig. As you can imagine, Bali is just too beautiful for words; so I’m going to let the pictures (and video) do the talking. And oh, I’ve got three awesome brand ambassadors from The Body Shop with a little skin-spiration just for you, too. Watch! :)
CONTEST: **To win goodies from The Body Shop haul, simply watch the video and post one tip you learnt from The Body Shop experts in the comments below, don’t forget to mention what city you’re in to win!
My welcome to Bali opened with this door – to my suit at the Puri Wulandari Boutique Resort in Ubud.
Definitely one of the most stunningly designed rooms I’ve seen in my life! It even had a private infinity pool like the gorgeous Qualia resort in Queensland.
And so it begins! #SkinSpaScent #TheBodyShop #BeautiesInBali #DesiGirlTraveler so excited to so what they unveil! @thebodyshopindia A photo posted by MissMalini (@missmalini) on
What you need to know is this; The Body Shop Oils of Life come from power-packed seed oils that offer the very best in skincare. Rosehip seed oil comes from Chile, Camellia seed oil from China and black cumin seed oil from Egypt! And this is what they look like when they’re all grown up :)
Why seeds? A seed is the most compact capsule of nutrition and energy for life and that means superfood for your skin! What immediately struck me about these oils was the unusually light texture. I’m always wary of using oils because my skin is already so oily, but the Oils of Life facial I had was incredible. And my skin absorbed the oil almost immediately leaving it looking healthy and happy with a definite improvement in texture and glow.
The Body Shop also knows how much you like to go to the spa (but don’t always have the luxury of time to). So this winter, TBS is launching a whole Spa of the World range which features 3 rituals – the relaxing ritual, the revitalising ritual and the blissful ritual. Basically, a chance to pamper yourself silly in the shower, with a little help from your new friends! :)
I love how Vanda Serrador, one of the world’s leading facialists (and founder of Urban Skin) described her daily routine with these products. She was so full of energy and inspired up a storm as she explained how she had herself suffered an accident that left one side of her face paralysed and so her interest in skin treatments happened (quite literally) by accident! She stressed upon the importance of finding some time to nurture yourself and even showed us a super cute face dance workout! #LoveThat
Psst! The range launches in India come November 2015 and of course, Jacqueline Fernandez will be there.
I absolutely loved how they had set up the whole launch experience at the most stunning property in Ubud, Bali.
“To Infinity and Beyond!” have you ever seen a double infinity pool before?! #Bali, mind, blown. #BeautiesInBali @TheBodyShopIND @hanginggardensubud (@condenasttraveller awarded this the world’s best pool!) #DesiGirlTraveler #worldsbestpool #hanginggardensubud A photo posted by MissMalini (@missmalini) on
(I mean, being voted the best pool in the world is no mean feat.) I’m also super proud of myself that I woke up bright and early to join the yoga class at The Hanging Gardens. Of course, a view of infinity makes it a whole lot more motivating to do :)
The best part was being treated to an Oils of Life spa day right after! A rare and much-appreciated break from my insanely hectic life! Big kisses to The Body Shop. #BlissedOutBloggerina

The Body Shop also launched a brand new fragrance by the poolside, The Italian Summer Fig. Fresh and floral, I’m a big fan of the lime-green packaging, so pretty right?
I’ve always loved how brightly colored all The Body Shop packaging is. Inspired by the myriad colors we see in nature itself. In fact, at the launch they even created matching colourful cocktails inspired by each of their existing fragrances. :)
PS. Here’s some of The Body Shop haul that I took with me to Bali. So many of my favourite things and a contest for you!
The Body Shop also revealed their new packaging for The Oils of Life and Spa of the World. While they plan to retain the colourful DNA of the brand, they’ve decided to up the luxury quotient with a slightly more classic colour palette and a sleeker design. What do you think?
And as their very dapper GM Arnaud Jeanteur revealed, they’re also getting some fabulous new advertorial vibes infused with unique killer irreverent British humour, that you’re just going to love. So stay tuned!
As if we hadn’t already been pampered enough, The Body Shop set up an incredible 4-course meal at the poolside at Alila, complete with live music and dancing!
The cutest thing was the band that sang us Kal Ho Naa Ho as a surprise welcome!
Kal ho na ho, Bali style! #BeautiesInBali #TheBodyShop #SkinSpaScent #DesiGirlTraveler @thebodyshopindia #Bali #BollywoodisEverywhere A video posted by MissMalini (@missmalini) on
No matter how many virtual pictures you collect, it’s always nice to take home a physical copy of your adventures and I love that The Body Shop had set up a printing station where anyone who tagged #SkinSpaScent and #TheBodyShop got a collection of photos to take home with them at the end of their trip!
On day 2, I managed to catch two really cool cultural performances. One was at the Ubud Palace, a series of dances that were once performed for kings themselves and some war dances that reminded me a whole lot of kathakali.
The other one was a really cool rendition of the Ramayana, dramatising the kidnapping of Sita and her rescue with Hanuman’s help! Epic.
My co-journo on this trip was Samreen Samad from Femina and aside from being as cute as a button, she’s also super sweet! Her friends basically adopted me for a night out in Bali, where we ate an unbelievable delicious meal and drank a whole rainbow of shots. What’s not to love?!
All in all, a pretty unforgettable journey. Now I can’t wait to go back because I’m told Seminyak is where the party’s at!
Stay tuned for more #DesiGirlTraveler adventures coming soon :) Oh and of course, there’s a vlog. SUBSCRIBE NOW to my youtube.com/missmalinivideos channel!
