The week gone by proved to be quite dull for Bollywood. Though Guddu Rangeela had shown some rise in collections over the weekend, it didn’t prove to be enough as the weekdays were low once again. The film fell by almost 50% when compared to its (low) Friday. As a result, the first week’s collections read a little over 8.5 crore. Theatrically, the film hasn’t done well and it may just about manage to recover its costs (and that too in a long run) due to ancillary rights, but that’s about it.
Another release of the week, Second Hand Husband, has proven to be a Box Office disaster. The film didn’t have a good weekend and the weekdays saw hardly any collections. With just around 3 crore coming in and no shows in the second week, the film has disappeared in a jiffy. One waits to see if Tina Ahuja would be going through a better planned launch next.
After crossing 100 crore, ABCD 2 has lost its steam. The film has being collecting on a lower side now and while it stands at around 104 crore, it would just about manage to cross 106 crore total of Shraddha Kapoor‘s biggest grosser till date, Ek Villain.
