Cocktail brings one word to mind – glamorous. Think sexy gowns, a ton of volume, and you’ve got the ideal Cocktail Bride look. Manish Malhotra owned this style at Couture Week, and every single one of these gowns is from his show. Don’t overdo the jewellery, because these outfits make quite a statement on their own.

For Your Wedding Ceremony

Four very different wedding lehengas for four very different brides. If you’re the quintessential red bride, you will either want a red wedding lehenga that’s embroidered with gold or you’ll want to make a fashion statement with the toned-down Sabyasachi lehenga (I can’t believe I just used the word “toned-down” to describe a Sabya lehenga!)

For the morning bride, Anju Modi’s pastel lehenga will work best. And the fuchsia pink lehenga is for those girls who want to be anything but a red bride, but find pastels too subtle for their style sensibilities.

For Your Reception Party

At your Reception party, you can break away from the traditional and experiment with softer shades and fresh silhouettes – lehengas with capes, jacket lehengas and even gowns from Gaurav Gupta, who created larger than life bridal wear at Couture Week.

Every wedding is different, and you may have a Sufi night instead of a Cocktail, a 500-people Mehendi ceremony, or a rehearsal dinner! These lighter outfits from Monisha Jaising, Varun Bahl, Rahul Mishra and others are some of the best outfits this fashion week had to offer for pre-wedding events. Notice how none of them are overpowering? That’s the look you should be going for.

Fashion weeks are a great place to find the best bridal wear, and even trends for the upcoming wedding season!
