Couture week isn’t just about the structure and art of textiles or designs. The grand couture shows are made of multiple elements and makeup plays a huge role. As a beauty blogger, it’s one of the first things I notice. Runway makeup is, more often than not, the trendsetter for makeup that becomes a part of every girl’s routine. And when it’s couture, you’ve got to pay attention.
The gallery above summarizes some of the best looks from Amazon India Couture Week 2015. Team MissMalini was backstage, up front, and just… everywhere. Here’s what stood out: coral or natural lips. Intense eyes, in shows like Sabyasachi, were OTT intense with extreme lashes and prominent smokey eyes. We also saw a lot of brown lip color and some amount of the strobing trend still making waves. These looks were created by Sonic Sarwate and Mickey Contractor from M.A.C Cosmetics.
